Oatka Glass Studio is temporarily closed as we do our part to limit the spread of COVID-19. All previously scheduled classes, events, and programs are cancelled until further notice.

We offer a full range of glass workshops in a variety of techniques throughout the year ranging from 2 hour “Make-It-Now” classes (birthday parties, girl scout troops, team building, etc.), Personalized workshops or residencies (by the hour, day, or multiple days), and Multi-Day Intensive technique focused workshops.  

Classes at Oatka School of Glass fill quickly on a first-come, first-served basis. Please register early to insure a place in the course you would like to take. We require a paid deposit to insure your registration for a course.

We offer a extensive range of intensive multi-day workshops throughout the year that focus on a variety of techniques.  They range from Beginner Fusing techniques to Advanced. You can see the list of available workshop under Classes – Comprehensive Classes via the main menu.

Amanda Taylor teaches all of the Beginner to Advanced workshops and we do bring in visiting instructors a couple of times a year that focus on their specific techniques.  





Amanda & Lance Taylor offer years of practice and a huge knowledge base on a large variety of techniques in kiln formed glass.  Amanda specializes in creating customized workshops designed specifically for your needs and wants.

If there is a spePersonalized workshopscific technique, or a group of techniques, that peaks your fancy and you would like a little one-on-one learning environment to focus on developing new skills… have come to the right place.  We offer this type of experience year round and we also work around your timetable.  Whether you are here for 1 day or 2 weeks… will go home with much more than what you came with and be motivated to go back to your studio exploding with new ideas.

Residencies are available for any glass artist that would like to use our full facility to create a specific body of work, be it for a private commission or an upcoming exhibition.  We can arrange to have any material you need for you specific project shipped to our studio so that it will be here for you when you arrive.  Please contact Amanda Taylor with your enquiries and to get an estimate on studio rental costs.


Growing Wild-Leaf Design PlateMAKE-IT-NOW DROP-IN CLASSES: 

These are specifically setup for families, children and adults of all ages that want to try their hand at glass fusing and offer a quick and broad introduction to fused glass.  There are a huge variety of fun and colorful projects (bowls, plates, coaster, vases, night lights, etc.) that can be created in the 2 hour time slots.   Bring food and beverages and make a party out of it!!

Once you have taken our beginners fusing workshop or can demonstrate that you have experience with fusing, we offer studio rental time with full access to our studio, kilns, lampworking, and cold-working areas.  You can purchase all your glass needs right at our studio.
