We have all been inspired by geometric shapes (hexagons, pentagons, trapezoids, etc.) and their existence in nature, especially naturally occurring geometric shapes: honeycombs.

This proves to be an exciting and unique 7-day workshop.  Students will be working with Schott and Bullseye glass rod and sheet glass and use a variety of enamel paints to create our palette of colors which will be then transformed into a variety of forms.  Vitrigraph can will be created during the workshop as well and incorporated into the projects.  All of the initial projects will be transformed into other forms via cold working, re-assemblage techniques, casting, deep vessel and drop forms.

Please put me on your mailing list for classes. Especially interested in honeycomb deep vessels

    • Hello Mary,

I will put you on our email list for classes. We do have the deep vessel class scheduled for June 20-26, 2020 but with the COVID19 pandemic happening at this moment we are not exactly sure if we will be open for classes then. I will keep you informed. If you email me at oatkaglass@gmail.com with dates that would work for you we could go from there. Also, if you follow me on Facebook I will be posting classes there. What part of the country do you live in? It would be great to hear your thoughts.

      Thanks,

      Amanda Taylor
