New Bullseye Tints for Billets and Sheet Glass

Bullseye’s line of compatible billets now includes six luscious new tints. These colors were inspired by feedback from BECon 2009 attendees—kilncasting practitioners all. They’re bound to appeal to your customers who work in cast glass.

Each of the new colors is also available as 3mm sheet glass. Used alone, these tints are extremely pale, almost clear. But fused over white sheets, they reveal soft pastels. Consider tints in sheet form for architectural tile or lighting applications.

New Bullseye Reactive Ice and Reactive Cloud

We have enjoyed playing with reactive frit and glass for a few years now and are really excited about further experimentation with Bullseye’s new reactive clear and white, which are great for both torchwork and kilnforming. You can introduce either silver and copper foil, wire and leaf or combine with copper bearing glasses for dramatic effects. When you come for a visit to our studio you can see firsthand the many examples of the types of reactions possible with this new line of sheet glass.

New Molds 2009-2010

Three of the new molds are smaller format variations of Bullseyes bestselling favorites for each of use in smaller kiln setups. These molds are crafted by Creative Ceramics in Europe, makers of the finest commercial slumping forms on the market.

New Streaky Glass

Bullseye designed these new styles to offer elemental mixes suggesting fire, sky, and water.

New Rods

These six new opaque styles all reflect light to give surface details extra contrast. All maintain their color and opacity, even in small amounts. To demonstrate their density, they are shown here on black core beads.

New Stringer

Our new stringer colors come from longtime and currently popular sheet colors, including transparent Red, Woodland Brown and Reactive Ice Clear. Most of the new transparent styles are strikers and fire to saturated, stable colors. Most of the opalescent styles are lighter in color than the corresponding sheet glasses.
